The US department store chain Bloomingdale's will discontinue Bloomingdale's catalog mail order by early 2009 and focus on the internet order business for non-store retailing. According to Macy's Inc., its online sales "Bloomingdales.com" is showing high growth and expecting to exceed $1 billion in sales in 2008.
