Teijin Fibers enhances production of industrial sewing thread in China

Teijin Fibers agreed on October 11 that it would enhance the production
and marketing system of industrial polyester sewing thread (Teijin Tetoron sewing
thread) in China with middle-stream companies, Onuki-seni, Daikoku Limited and
Moririn which have been working together with Teijin Fibers for some time. The
company is aiming at a monthly production of 100 tons for filament sewing thread
and 200 tons for spun sewing thread during 2008 through this restructuring of
its production and marketing system. The company's current promotion and future
production system of industrial sewing thread after this agreement will be as
follows.

Produced mainly in domestic firms of two companies,
Onuki-seni and Daikoku Limited, using special high-tenacity yarn manufactured
in Matsuyama plant of Teijin Fibers, and promoted in the sewn products market
under the brand names “Ace Crown” and “Dia Feather.” |
Main production base will be moved to
China and integrated manufacturing in China will be established.
Production will be integrated by Onuki-seni group companies [Onuki-seni, Ningbo
Onuki Thread Manufacture (dyeing and others) and Onuki-seni (Xuancheng) Manufacture < scheduled
to open in 2008> (twisting)] and integrated manufacturing in China will be
established.
Daikoku Limited will aim to expand it for material uses based in WORLD THREAD
(THAILAND) LTD. (Daikoku’s group company in Thailand). |
Spun sewing thread |
Special raw cotton manufactured by Teijin Polyester
in Thailand is provided to Chinese state-run factory (controlled and managed
by Moririn) for production based in China, and promoted in the sewn products
market as spun sewing thread.

New spinning company will be established
in China for stable quality and cost
To establish further stable quality and cost, it will continue and enhance
the integrated production system through activities of Qingdao Moririn Textile
under the direct management of Moririn <opened in September 2007> (spinning
and twisting) and Qingdao Moririn Tri-circle Thread (dyeing). |
