Aichi Industrial Technology Institute develops touch-sensitive textile
|
Aichi Industrial Technology Institute has developed a touch-sensitive
textile capable of detecting being depressed. It can be used as an
electrical switch. Along with both appearance and texture it has the
same hand as ordinary fabric.
So, its use is expected to be encountered anywhere people are involved,
from objects used in everyday life such as household electrical goods
and interior furnishings to the field of medical and welfare.
It is thought there are even more possibilities in the future with
applications in next-generation technology, such as wearable computers.
