Printing equipment increases in Bangladesh.

Printing facilities are improving in Bangladesh. According to a Japanese business person who observed the printing industry in Bangladesh, the number of printing firms using magnet and squeegee systems with auto flat bed screen type printing machines is increasing, and the use of 8-12 colors is conspicuous. 80 % of materials used for printing are cotton, and the remaining 20% are mainly synthetic materials.

Hand printing is generally more common than auto flat bed screen printing in Bangladesh. He confirmed that most of the screen materials for hand printing are nylon, which makes the whole screen stretch so easily at the printing operation, causing difficulty with precise designs.

It is conspicuous that they use Japanese-made CMC for printing paste. Recently, sodium alginate pastes made in China have come into use for auto flat bed screen printing or rotary screen printing. Among the other remarkable points is an increase in firms carrying out design tracing for making printing plates in-house. Most printing is for sarees.

Toray develops formative silky ultrafine fiber fabric using new sea-island structure ultrafine fiber with special polymer for island component.

“SOIENIR”

Toray has developed a silky ultrafine fiber fabric "SOIENIR" using ultrafine polyester fiber with a special polymer structure, realizing soft hand and sleek elasticity which express a couture-like round line, a shiny gloss like natural silk and a unique, delicate texture at the same time, and will start full-scale sales for the 2007 autumn/winter season targeting ladies' wear such as dress, jacket, coat and bottoms. Sales of 10,000 rolls for the first year and 60,000 rolls for the third have been anticipated, and the price is over ¥1,700 per meter for single width (112 cm width) and over ¥2,000 per meter for double width (148 cm width) for apparel companies.

"SOIENIR" gets its sleek elasticity from reducing the movement by increasing resistance between single yarns with the use of new sea-island structure ultrafine fiber which develops microvoids on fiber surfaces even though it is an ultrafine fiber with a fineness of 0.18dtex, achieving a good balance with an unique soft and supple hand because each yarn of sea-island structure ultrafine fiber is so thin and the structure has a lot of fine airspaces between single yarns.

It produces a shiny gloss like high quality silk by reducing reflections with microvoids that make light reflect diffusely on the fabric surface, and has a delicate texture developed by microvoids being rubbed between single yarns.

its features and significance.

Leaders of the Korean textile industry are seeking Toray's guidance on forming the Toray Cluster. It seems that the top management of Toray has been hard pressed to give an answer since the nature of the establishment of the cluster is to produce synergy among various businesses for their mutual benefit by binding together in one camp based on Japanese culture and customs, and it is not something that can move overseas easily.
