Nagase Color Chemicals promotes dyes for PLA fiber

Nagase Color Chemicals has started promoting the sale of dyes for PLA (poly lactic acid) fiber, the “DENAPLA” series, as well as the optical brightener DENAPLA Fluorite NH and UV absorber DENAPLA UV Cutter NH because of the increase in the production and consumption of biodegradable PLA fiber.

Nagase Color Chemicals is prepared to provide the customer with quantities of practical data from their test results.

Milano Unica opens on 12th, September

Joint fair “The 3rd Milano Unica” ( integration of five textile fairs) will be held from 12th to 15th, September in Milan.

ANCI (Italian Shoe Manufacturers’ Association) send letters regarding certification of origin to 3 prime ministers

According to ICE/E-mail magazine Moda Vol.9 (10, July 2006), ANCI has sent letters to the prime ministers of the UK, Germany and Belgium to support the proposal regarding the obligation of certification of origin for shoes made outside Europe to protect the “Made in Italy” shoe.

The president of ANCI, Mr Rossano Soldini said “If the regulation is approved, it will be a powerful tool for maintaining production and the employment systems in Italy and Europe”.


Paris Textile Fair PV opens first Moscow Fair on October

The 1st Premiere Vision Moscow will be held on 5th and 6th, October.

This Moscow fair is planned at the request of textile manufacturers who exhibit in the Premiere Vision Pluriel in Paris in order to advance and strengthen their position in the Russian market.

This annual fair will exhibit autumn-winter collections important in the Russian market.

Chinese dyers plan to visit Japan at the end of August or later

(from Beijing) A visiting group consisting of the executives of major Chinese dyehouses organized by the China Dyeing and Printing Association plans to visit Japan at the end of August.

The group leader is the president of this association, Mr Li Jinbao (informally decided).

Training of screen printing technicians increases in China

Introduction of new screen printing technology

A government-supported organization in China has opened training courses for printing technicians.

For example, according to a report published in the China Dyeing and Printing Association magazine, China Dyeing and Printing Association, Printing Commission, Shanghai Zhongda Printing & Dyeing Material Industry Co., Ltd. and Henan Home Textile Association jointly opened a training course for flat screen and rotary screen printing techniques including photoengraving in Zhengzhou from 18th to 21st May, and 16 technicians in this area attended the classes.

The report introduced the situation of this training as follows.

The contents of the 4-day training course were fruitful, the trainees were all diligent and passed general tests without exception. The average mark was around the 80% level and the top was 96.5%.
